Water is good for you year round. If you're thirsty, you're dehydrated.

Vodka is made partly from water. In fact, in Russian, and various other Slavic languages, most likely including yours, @luka , it is the diminutive of water.

@flavigula yes, indeed, in slovene:
Water = voda.
Small water = vodka (but it is never used in that sense really - perhaps more 'vodika').

So you like Vodka?
It's a stereotype for Russians, but since Slovenia is more close to Serbia and Balkan countries, a common alc spirit here is 'rakija' (really properly Slovene is sadjevec (literally fruit-brandy) or šnopc (comes from German schnaps)) usually made from plums.

My SO is half-Bosnian, so... it's rakija at home.

I lived in Prague 8 years and in Tuzla nearly one. I don't do hard alcohol anymore, but I know rakija, similar to slivovice. Fun stuff. I need to go to Ljubljana again sometime. Beautiful place.

I can't say I'm an expert, but I loved living in Tuzla. I made some excellent friends.
