One good side effect of the bombostorm so far: one of the three Blue Lives Matter flags lined up on a neighbor's back(?!) fence has blown away.

And the wind is in the direction that would blow it into the adjoining neighbor's yard, and I *know* that neighbor ain't returning it when the snow melts.

we can gripe about the state of browsers with a litany of legitimate grievances but ask yourself seriously what other stack is supported by a widely distributed sandbox operating on public standards? when you ask me to download and execute software, i afford it a certain inherent access to my computer. sandboxing through browsers is important. it gives each party some breathing room, to trust and not trust each other. someday we will find something better but for now...
