Jasos: Named in honor of Giorgio Sassi (b. 1918), Italian amateur astronomer, co-founder of the Osservatorio San Vittore, in operation since 1969. He devised new globes, described how an accurate clock could be used to determine longitude and improved the astrolabe. In 2005 McKay received posthumous NASA astronaut wings for a flight that reached an altitude of 89900 metres.
